Jet Harris 60th Birthday
Jet's 60th birthday celebration held on Saturday July 10th, at the Parkside Hotel
in Bristol, was a truly memorable occasion as in excess of 100 of his family, friends and
fans turned out to pay tribute to a rock and roll legend
The musical entertainment was provided by SHADOOGIE whose first set provided us with first
rate renditions of Shads classics taken mainly from the Harris era.
Jet then took to the stage and proceeded to prove once again that he is back to his
best as he ran through all his hits as well as his new Duane Eddy tribute number
"Theme from something Really Important"

Among the tributes, Dave Holbrook and Dave Wheatley read out many
birthday greetings which had been sent from all over the World via the Internet as well as
messages from Tony Meehan, Mark Griffiths, Bruce Welch and Sir Cliff Richard who were all
unable to attend because of their prior committments.
Many thanks must go to Dave Holbrook and Dave Wheatley for organising this magnificent
event and providing a night to remember for Jet and all of us.
